I have a question for you Oh Wise and All Knowing Int-netz.........how are you at having your plans changed at the last minute??

For instance....if you think that you are getting the car and have a whole day of fabric shopping and out amongst the people-ing and you wake up to get ready and then you ask your husband why he isn't waking up and getting ready to go where he needs to go AND then he says "oh, I don't have to be anywhere til 4." Does your head pop off? I mean does it pop off quietly inside of yourself while you look at him wondering what this means for your fabric shopping and amongst the people-ing? What do you do when you realize this has changed the whole day?

Hmmmmmmm?? Inquiring minds want to know.

J-Man is retired, so when I'm home, he's home, and though this has been going on for many years, sometimes I have had enough of him and his political TV shows.

When he mentions going to a movie, I do everything I can to encourage him. I've stopped just short of pushing my handicapped husband down the steps to the car! I gave him a VIP pass worth 4 movies for Christmas.

And then when he decides NOT to go, I have to go weep somewhere....

i used to get extra credit on my performance reviews for being able to stop in the middle of one crisis and put out a fire on another one ... but now i am old and cranky - and (even though i still have the skills) i am not as good at hiding my head popping off as i used to be

So maybe that means you can get him to take you out for breakfast once the kids are headed off and then you can go about your business!

Dragging him along while fabricshopping is NOT an option, so....If it were MY DH, he'd be on his own 'till 4, 'cause i already made plans for my day (and i'd probably told him the day before)...But by the tone of your post, I understand that you spent the time with your DH instead of going your own way. Poor you, after all that laundry yesterday!

I would have told him he could either give you the car and let you go, or he would be doing the laundry while you sat in your most comfy chair and read a nice book. Oh, and I would have had him fix you lunch too! That would teach him to change his plans! LOL!

I'd be pissed. I get cranky when plans don't go as planned.

Oh that wouldn't be pretty, I think I would sulk and be generally unreasonable!!! I'm not good with change!!! There is always tomorrow??

Could you come back with "Oh, good, I'm taking the car & do you think you can have the laundry done by the time I get home?" ahahahahaha

Oh boy, that's a tough one...but there's always time for shopping another day. Take a deep breath. Enjoy a husband who loves you and you love him. Life is too short with the special people in our life.
