Being Deployed....

Okay Int-netz, one of our own is having a very bad no good day. The besty formerly known as Walker Leigh now known as Texas Leigh, her hubby deployed tonight. He is to be gone for a whole year. For those of you who don't have a family member, let alone a spouse, over in Iraq let me tell you it is really hard. She had to take her hubby to a designated spot and drop him off. She had to hug him, tell him she loved him and then say goodbye to him. Her kiddos had to say goodbye to their daddy. She now has to hold down the fort for the next 365 days. Jen and I will be there for her and are even taking a road trip to see her in a couple of months but still, can you even imagine. She is the first of the Ya-Ya's to be going through this. Jen and I are next.

So here is what I'm asking. If you could find it in your heart to go and visit her here and leave a comment it would totally rock the house. Just let her know that she is being thought of today. It would really mean a lot.

Leigh, my heart is with you tonight girlfriend. I'll call you tomorrow. To our dear friend the Major...you will be in all of our prayers. Stay safe and know we adore you.

Hi Leigh,
I'm Dawn's Aunt Joan. I've heard so much about you yaya girls I feel I know you somehow. I wish you well (and your husband) during this separation time. I pray for you to have strength and believe that this trying time will go quickly. Keep busy and speak to God often "He'll hear you". Good luck sweetie and God Bless you both.

Like AirmanMom, this is the first visit to your blog and I found you through your comment on her blog.

I'm glad you are going to be there for Leigh. She will need all the support she can get and the road trip is a marvelous idea.

The Major and his family have been added to my prayer list.

Blessings,
Mary

I'm so...everything for your friend. Lost my daddy in Viet Nam, you know, on his second tour of duty. My heart breaks and I am so proud and humbled and honored by all of you all giving the ultimate sacrifice.

My prayers are with your friend. (And you!)

Hi Dawn :)

I'll go over and give her my prayers for her husband's safe return. I've never been separated from Rich except for training, because he's done with going overseas (recruiting duty now and only 4 years left until retirement), but I can't imagine how upsetting it is.

BTW, thank you so much for coming by! How did you like your snow?? ;)

Thanks - I'll let him know. I'm hoping I can find a good deal on airfare and plan a trip over there before he comes home. I think this will be a great experience for him! Hope things are good in OH - tell your beautiful family hi!
