quilting stuff and delurking week

It's delurking week!! If you stop on by my blog leave your name and a quick comment...I'd love to meet ya and say hi!! Delurking week...from what I understand..is for those of us who read blogs. We are sopposed to leave a comment, a quick hello, or a big long email stating how much you love us!! heehee SO SAY HI ALREADY SO I CAN SAY HI BACK!!!!

This Saturday Downstairs Jen and I hit the fabric shop! I got a bunch of autumn colors to go with my BOTM that I'm working on. After I finished paying the lady and went to get my bag she grabbed my hand and said, "no"! Then she quickly got a bunch of other fabric and smiled then told me, "free...for service". I GOT FREE FABRIC!!!!! Just cause we stopped by her booth and bought something from her! Jen got some free stash too!! Here is what I got....

I know I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love this place!!!

I started working on this years Christmas gifts. I am working on another BOTM by Lynette Jensen..it's in her Big Book of Quilt Blocks. I already know who is getting this...a certain someone in my life who loves to get his hands dirty in his garden and watch his birdies in the back yard. :) Can you guess who?? this is the first block...

Here is the 2nd one....

And the 3rd. I'm going to try and work on a couple more today. I still need to work on the BOTM from the same book for my daughters teacher. Her 16 year old son was just diagnosed with a form of cancer and I'm thinking she can use all the support she can get. If you are a quilter that means you make a quilt for them! That's what I've got ahead of me today. We're gonna go to church in about an hour and then home to play with my fabric. I love days like this. Now remember...if you are lurking out there and reading this....DELURK!! :) bye!

The fabric looks fab! Nothing like free fabric to start off your day... ah!

Thanks for all the wonderful comments you left on my blog. I truly appreciate it! It's just nice to see some comments. (And feed my narcissistic comment ego!)

I'm commenting for you!! Glad that you got some "free" stuff. How come whenever I'm with you..I don't get free stuff?? Maybe it's because you are a STAR!! and I'm not =(.

Love ya! Send me your e-mail too. Mine's tikikc@hotmail.com

hey there- those blocks look great! You've been busy. You must not have a 1yr old, a 4yo and a 6yo. I cannot wait to see the finished quilt top. Viva free fabric!

So glad your first day was such a great experience. Those 2nd graders don't know how great they had it. You are dynamic and exciting. I am so proud of you. It is a little intimidating to go bsck to work after so many years. I know how much energy you have, you will be a powerhouse. Make the Captain and the kids take on a few more tasks. I love you Doodle and CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!

Hey. I'm glad your first day of work went so well. It helps when you like what you do. Whenever I tell Polly's family that, I love my job, they say "uh huh, we've heard about people like you.." Just so you know, I will be updating the family blog this weekend. I have a bunch of video's to add and today we're driveing up the mountain to take a nature walk. Should be some good footage.

Love the pics of the family and I'm glad to hear you guys are having so much fun over there! Can't wait to get you back in the States though. So, consider yourself on "lease" to the orient with no option to buy...

Love you.

I don't think I have been completely lurking as I have left comments before, but I won't go for the long email. Just know I am enjoying seeing Korea through the eyes of your family and really love your sense of humor. :o)
